A 5 hour self-drive, North-East on the Klondike Hwy to the Campbell Hwy from Whitehorse or Watson Lake.  Lead Zinc mining brought over 2000 miners and their families to Faro in 1982 and this now quiet riverside community is composed of artists, independent entrepreneurs and retirees enjoying the ‘Big Country-Big River’ part of this world. In May, you can join the community viewing of the annual migration of Sandhill Cranes and experience lambing by the unique Fannin Sheep. Faro also boasts the largest population of Fannin Sheep, Moose and Wolves in the Yukon.
